Ingredients –
1 cup rice
½ cup moong dal
4-5 cups water
¼ tsp turmeric powder
Salt to taste
1 tsp organic Gir Cow A2 Ghee from Shiva Organic
Cumin seeds
Black pepper
Ginger
Method -
Step 1 - Rinse the dal and rice together and keep aside.
Step 2 - Take a pressure cooker, add rinsed dal and rice with enough water, some turmeric powder and salt to taste.
Step 3 - Cook well until it gets soft and mushy as khichdi is a dish known for its softness and easy digestion.
Step 4 - Place a pan over the flame, add ghee and let it heat. Temper it with cumin seeds, ginger strings, curry leaves, cinnamon sticks, and red chilli powder. Pour the cooked khichdi into the pan and mix well.
