Description
Lakadong turmeric, named after the region of Lakadong in the Indian state of Meghalaya, is renowned for its high curcumin content and distinct flavor profile. This variety of haldi is rich in curcumin content (up to 7% to 8%) as compared to normal varieties that contain 2% to 3% curcumin. Our Lakadong haldi is completely sun-dried and traditionally ground. No additives, artificial aroma or colours. It can be used in everyday cooking, seasoning, in milk, smoothies, warm water as turmeric latte or simply added in water with honey.
It is most effective when ingested with black pepper because black pepper contains a natural ingredient called "piperine" that promotes the absorption of curcumin in the body.
