Barnyard Millet Kheer Recipe

Ingredients

  • ¼ Cup Of Shiva Organic’s Barnyard Millet
  • Dry Fruits (Cashew And Almonds)
  • 2-3 Tablespoons Of A2 Gir Cow Desi Ghee
  • 1-2 Carrots (Grated Carrot)
  • 1 Tablespoon Of Organic Honey
  • Desi Khand
  • 4-6 Saffron Threads
  • ¼ Cup Of Fox Nuts
  • ¼ Cardamom Powder
  • Milk
  • Water

Cooking Instruction

Step 1 - Take a bowl, add Barnyard Millet and wash it properly.

Step 2 - Add more water and soak it for 15-30 minutes

Step 3 - Take a cooking pan, place it over the flame, add A2 Gir Cow Desi Ghee after the pan heats up.

Step 4 - Add 2 tablespoons of almonds and cashew, roast it until brown and crunchy.

Step 5 - In the same cooking pan already heated up, add the soaked Barnyard Millet, grated carrot and roast them well until aromatic.

Step 5 - Add 3 cups of milk, saffron threads. Fox nuts, cardamom powder, roasted nuts, 3-4 drops of Kewara water, and mix it well.

Step 6 - Cover it with a lid and cook it for sometime and then remove the lid.

Step 7 - Add ¼ cup of desi Khand into the cooked Barnyard Millet and mix them well again.

Step - 8 - Take a serving bowl and pour hot Barnyard Millet and on top of it garnish it with saffron and dry fruits.
