Mint Sharbat

Mint sharbats should taste of mint. Most conventional sharbat
taste of synthetic menthol and are coloured with artificial green dye. Shiva Organic Mint Sharbat uses a distillation process to extract real flavour from pudina: completely colourless, sweetened with Dhaga Mishri, and cooling from within.

Description

Pudina is India's most instinctive summer herb. From roadside chaat to home kitchens, the sharp, vivid freshness of mint is woven into the country's culinary identity. A mint sharbat, in principle, should be the purest expression of that freshness in a glass.

In practice, most commercial mint sharbats are made with synthetic menthol, coloured with artificial green dye, and sweetened with artificial sweeteners. The mint is largely absent. The idea of mint remains.

Shiva Organic Mint Sharbat starts from a different place. Through a distillation process, real flavour is extracted from pudina preserving the natural menthol character that makes mint genuinely cooling, not just apparently so. No synthetic mint essence is added. No artificial colouring is used, which is why the sharbat is completely transparent. Dhaga Mishri replaces artificial sweeteners.

The result is a sharbat that tastes of actual pudina - vivid, clean, and cooling in the way that only real menthol from a real plant can be. Mix 30 ml in 200 ml of chilled water, add lime and black salt, and taste the difference real extraction makes.

Taste Profile

Cool, minty, refreshing, slightly sweet, and crisp with an invigorating finish.

FAQ

Q.  What makes Shiva Organic Mint Sharbat different ?

A.  Shiva Organic extracts real pudina flavour through a distillation process preserving natural menthol from the plant itself. No artificial colouring is added, so the product is completely colourless. Sweetened with Dhaga Mishri, not artificial sweeteners.
Real flavour, honest formulation.

Q.  What is Dhaga Mishri and why is it used instead of any artificial sweeteners?

A.  Dhaga Mishri is traditional Indian thread rock sugar, minimally processed and gentler on the digestive system than artificial sweeteners. It provides a clean, balanced sweetness that supports the bright, cooling character of mint without overpowering it.

Q.  What is the distillation process and why does it matter for mint?

A.  The distillation process extracts natural menthol and the associated flavour compounds directly from pudina. This is different from adding synthetic menthol to a base syrup, which is the standard commercial approach. Real menthol from a real plant creates a different and more genuine cooling and flavour experience.

Q.  Can I use Mint Sharbat as a base for Jal Jeera or Nimbu Pani?

A. Yes, it works very well as a mint base for Jal Jeera, Nimbu Pani, and Aam Panna. Because the flavour is developed through natural processing rather than synthetic essence, it integrates cleanly and authentically with other traditional Indian ingredients such as roasted jeera, amchur, and black salt.

Q.  Can it be mixed with other Shiva Organic sharbats?

A. Yes. Mint Sharbat pairs well with Rose Sharbat for a floral and mint combination, and with Orange Sharbat for a citrus and mint cooler. Experimenting with ratios is a great way to create signature drinks for gatherings and celebrations.

Q.  Can Mint help with nausea or headaches?

A. Yes. Menthol has well-documented effects in reducing nausea and easing tension headaches. The cooling sensation and natural compounds in mint help settle the stomach and ease head pressure. It is a traditional remedy for travel sickness and heat-induced nausea across India.
