Cleopatra’s Secret - ROYAL JELLY Now Identified as The Nations Treasure

Royal jelly is known for its great health benefits, and high quality due to which the product is in demand. Hence, the Indian government plans to train tribal beekeepers to extract royal jelly with an advanced technique from worker honeybees. Only about 2.3% of beekeepers are trained to extract royal jelly. India has great potential to produce, and extract royal jelly on a  large scale in the coming future. And, this push to the tribal community for extraction will definitely support the purpose. Royal jelly is the natural ingredient that helps slow down aging. cure life-threatening diseases, and boost immunity and fertility. The production of royal jelly is limited in India because the demand is average. Hence, the approx. selling price of royal jelly is Rs.15000-20000/kg.

The Cleopatra’s Face Pack

Cleopatra, the Egyptian queen known for her beauty, and her beauty secrets, kept her skin radiant and youthful. The famous Cleopatra's face used to have natural ingredients like honey, milk, and various herbs for her daily skincare. Cleopatra's beauty regime has been a subject of fascination for centuries.  The allure of her radiant skin and the charm surrounding her beauty practices have inspired countless women throughout history. India has a long and rich history of beauty traditions such as Ayurveda, which includes many beauty-related remedies.

Tribal women make good training candidates as they are associated with beekeeping and honey extraction,” said Dr K Lakshmi Rao, who recently retired from the Pune-based Central Bee Research Training Institute of India (CBRTI).

How the Indian government is empowering Tribal Communities?

When it comes to natural remedies, including skincare and beauty treatments, tribal communities in India have a wealth of traditional knowledge. Unfortunately, this knowledge often remains suppressed due to lack of exposure. Hence, the government is uplifting tribal communities by involving them in the development of Cleopatra's face pack. Also, providing them with economic opportunities with sustainable livelihood.

The National Rural Livelihood Mission, Rajasthan took the initiative to train tribal women to extract royal jelly with advanced technology. These kinds of sessions have also been conducted in states like Haryana, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal and Uttrakhand for years.

Dr Rao said ''A lot of doctors are prescribing royal jelly for patients with critical illnesses''.

Tribal communities often have deep knowledge of local flora and fauna. India's cultural diversity is one of its greatest strengths. By integrating traditional tribal knowledge into Cleopatra's face pack, the government is promoting the country's rich cultural heritage.

The quality of Indian Jelly is higher!

Though the level of extraction and distribution of royal jelly is higher in Thailand, China, and Vietnam, it is still India who's producing high-quality royal jelly as CBRTI research suggests. ''We found that it actually exceeds the ISO-prescribed standards imposed by the Food Safety and  Standards Authority of India in 2019'', said Dr Rao. Hence the Indian government is working on an organized extraction model, India soon going to get into the commercial production of royal jelly as experts suggest. And, because of this extraction model implementation, India will become a higher producer and distributor of Royal Jelly in the coming future for sure.

In final words, the centre's initiative to promote Cleopatra's face pack among tribal communities is a commendable step towards promoting economic empowerment, preserving traditional knowledge, and supporting sustainable development. Thus, India is taking a step ahead to encourage skincare in a natural way with a royal jelly skincare regime.
